Delete Your Account

1. Delete From the App (Fastest)

If you can sign in to Petia:

1. Open Petia and go to the Account tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is deleted server-side and you are signed out immediately. This removes your account and the data listed below.

2. Request Deletion by Email

If you no longer have access to the app or your device, you can request deletion without reinstalling:

1. Email hello@petia.app from the email address linked to your Petia account.
2. Use the subject line "Delete my account".

We verify that the request comes from the account owner's address, confirm by reply, and complete the deletion within 30 days of verification.

3. What Gets Deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:
• Your account profile (email, display name, preferences)
• All pet profiles
• Mood logs, weight history, vet visits, and reminders
• Health diary entries and medical records
• Uploaded photos (pet, food, health, and document images)
• Food scan results and AI chat history

Per our Privacy Policy, deletion is completed within 30 days. Backups holding deleted records are overwritten on a rolling basis and are not used to restore content.

4. What We Keep

We may retain limited records where required by law, such as billing receipts, and a non-reversible record used solely to prevent free-trial abuse. These records cannot be used to reconstruct your account or your pet data.

5. Subscriptions Are Managed by the Stores

Deleting your Petia account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so please cancel first:

• iOS: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Petia
• Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Petia

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
